Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DecodeBars ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
Your Account
Account Creation
To access certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
Account Security
You agree to immediately notify DecodeBars of any unauthorized use of your account. DecodeBars will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Submit or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or offensive
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose not explicitly authorized
- Submit false or misleading information
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without our written permission
User Content
Your Rights
You retain all rights to content you submit to DecodeBars, including lyrics and breakdowns. By submitting content, you grant DecodeBars a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze your submissions for service improvement and AI training purposes.
Content Standards
You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to submit any content you provide, and that such content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
Artist Verified Content
Content submitted through Artist Studio by verified artists is treated as authoritative interpretation. Verified artists are responsible for the accuracy of their submitted breakdowns.
Plans & Billing
Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Access
Premium features require an active paid subscription or other purchase as described on the Pricing page. DecodeBars may change offerings and limits with reasonable notice.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile → Settings page. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
Price Changes
DecodeBars may change prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Intellectual Property
The DecodeBars platform, including all software, algorithms, design, text, graphics, and compiled data, is the exclusive property of DecodeBars and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The AI models, scoring systems, and analysis methodologies are proprietary to DecodeBars. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of the Service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. DecodeBars does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate.
AI-generated analysis represents probabilistic interpretation and should not be treated as definitive factual statements. Verified artist breakdowns represent the artist's interpretation and override AI analysis.
Termination
DecodeBars may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability survive termination.
